Project 6

This is our project 6.

It's a Mazda 600 engine with a Honda 90 gearbox with custom frame and parts. Our master mechanic fist built this bike in 2005, he found a 66 Mazda 600 engine in somebody's backyard and took it home. Now we're building a chopper out of it. Here's the design we're after:

The engine itself is worthy of the road, the only problem is that it doesn't have any registration whatsoever, so this bike is collector's only. The 577cc runs smoothly with minor improvement with the new muffler, we couldn't stand the hotrod style pipe only exhaust, well, maybe we'll change it back later.

The problem of using a car engine for a bike is that it doesn't come with a matching gearbox. So he found another junk Honda 90 engine. The gear ratio works pretty well with the engine although it could use one more gear. But we loved it. So the bike is built again, modified the frame, change the tanks and we should finish the surface prep work by the end of the week.

Pictures for the blog will be ready, but here's a little peek at the frame and tank we fabricated.

It still has the old handle bar, it's all replaced. Like i said, pictures will follow later, I just started this blog tonight.

See you.
